How billing works
What happens when you buy, and when you stop
You press Get Pro and pay on a checkout page run by Lemon Squeezy. A license key arrives by email. In MacLenz, open Settings, then Plan, paste the key and press Activate. One key works on 2 of your Macs. If you move to a new Mac, press Deactivate This Mac first, then activate the key on the new one.
Your plan has an end date that MacLenz stores on your Mac, so Pro keeps working offline until that date. MacLenz checks the license once a day while you are online and moves the date forward when your subscription renews. In the last 7 days it counts down in the dashboard and the menu bar.
If you stop
You keep what you recorded
Cancel at any time with the Manage subscription button in MacLenz or the link in your receipt. Pro stays on until the end of the period you paid for. After that MacLenz returns to the Free plan and shows the last 3 days.
Older history stays on your Mac, hidden, for 30 days, so renewing in that time brings it all back. After 30 days it is deleted, because Free keeps 3 days. If you want a copy first, export it while you still have Pro. Refunds are available within 14 days of a payment.
Questions
Pricing questions
What is the difference between Free and Pro?
Free tracks your day and shows the last 3 days, one day at a time, and never expires. Pro keeps all of your history and adds week and month views, optimization, the live view of every core and the GPU, and export and import.
Is the Free plan really free?
Yes. It has no time limit, needs no card and no sign-up, and it is not a trial. Pro is there when you want your full history and everything else.
Can I cancel?
Yes, any time. Use the Manage subscription button in MacLenz, or the link in your receipt email. Pro stays on until the end of the period you paid for.
Which payment methods can I use?
Lemon Squeezy takes cards and PayPal. They are the merchant of record, so they also handle sales tax where it applies and send the receipt.
Is there a team or business plan?
No. MacLenz is built for one person. A Pro license covers 2 of your own Macs. Activity stays on each Mac and is never uploaded, so there is no shared team dashboard.
